About Me

During my three years at the Mackintosh School of Architecture (MSA), I have developed an interest in creating designs that reflect their context and connects with the surroundings whilst being underpinned by themes relating to sustainability. My most recent projects undertaken during Stage Three at MSA reflect these themes as they aim to foster a sense of place and connection with the community through exploration of materiality, form and the development of a narrative or journey.

Through my examples of work I strive to gain knowledge and broader understanding of material choices and the important role it plays within architectural design and creating a more sustainable industry. Material selection can have effect on both operational and embodied carbon. Making informed descisions can help contribute to reduction of carbon, allowing the industry to achieve goals set out in the RIBA 2030 Climate Challenge. My commitment to creating environmentally conscious designs has been recognised through my most recent work (In)Visible Boundaries having been awarded the MSA Stage Three Sustainability Award.

The studio projects titled Life-Long Learning Retreat & (In)Visible Boundaries which were completed during third year and showcased at the GSA Degree Show 2025 recieved recognition and commendation for the GIA (Glasgow Institute of Architects) Student Awards, Stage Three at GSA.

Throughout my studies so far my coursework and projects have equipped me with proficiency in an array of softwares including AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp, Lumion and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop). As i understand the importance of BIM softwares within architectural practice, enrolling in online courses for Autodesk Revit and ArchiCAD are providing opportunities to diversify my skillset before entering practice.

When I’m not working on projects for university, you’d find me either out on a walk with my dog Mabel or still at my desk, working on a drawing that requires more pens and time than I’d care to admit and crafting handmade cards which also takes longer than a trip to the shop would.
